The term Mysore refers to Mysore, India, the place of origin of the traditional Ashtanga yoga practice. Ashtanga Yoga has traditionally been taught on a one on one basis. The student participates in a class-like setting, within their own practice, practicing the series of postures from the Ashtanga Series. The teacher is present to assist and discuss postures and their sequential order, vinyasas, and the difference between helpful patterns of practice and harmful patterns of habit.
This 4-week course is designed for all levels of student who wish to begin the journey towards an independent practice. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to attend our regular schedule Mysore classes.
Class size is limited, as the instruction received will be based on an individual’s needs.
